The lock down has been lifted.

As of 1: 20 pm. today. We are on a Non-Emergency lock down for a Canine Check.

We would like to thank our community for their interest and passion surrounding our State Report grade this year - it shows how much you care about the academic success of our students!
As laid out in the Thursday, November 21, Mondovi Herald “Notes From School” section, Report Card ratings are based on four priority areas: 1) Student achievement in English language arts and mathematics, 2) Student growth in English language arts and mathematics, 3) Closing gaps between student populations in English language arts, mathematics, and graduation rates, and 4) Measures of readiness for graduation and postsecondary success in the areas of graduation rates, attendance rates, 3rd grade English language arts achievement, and 8th grade mathematics achievement. Additionally, schools and districts can have point deductions for failing to meet targets for student engagement indicators of test participation (ACT, ACT Aspire, Forward Exam, Badger Exam, Dynamic Learning Maps), absenteeism, and dropout rates.
Although our district report card score has been in the “Meeting Expectations” or “Exceeding Expectations” range since 2015, we are aware that we have some work to do, and are already having conversations and putting supports in place to improve these scores. Some of the work that is already happening pertains to revisiting and revising curriculum, looking at Scope and Sequence, Professional Learning Community (PLC) weekly meetings, schedule changes, course offerings, etc. We have been addressing this trend since last year, and will continue to do so.
While the Report Card score is important to us, we are also looking at the national research around our “Redefining Ready” criteria - College Ready, Career Ready, and Life Ready - to address the whole student and ensure success in their post-high school endeavors. Please refer to the November 21 Mondovi Herald “Notes From School” for all the specific details of the research-based metrics.
If you would like to have further discussion to more deeply understand all the data behind either the school or district report cards, feel free to reach out to any of our Administrative Team members to schedule an appointment.
