The School District of Mondovi is currently accepting applications for lifeguard positions! Our outdoor pool and surrounding area have recently undergone some significant upgrades with our recent referendum. We also offer a very competitive wage! Duties for our lifeguards may include but are not limited to: Front desk responsibilities Maintaining cleanliness in public restrooms Other janitorial duties Pool attending Completing any special projects given by the manager on duty Following the opening and closing lists for each area Interested applicants should go to the Mondovi website (www.mondovi.k12.wi.us), click on “District,” then on “employment,” and then on “forms” to fill out an application. We were fortunate to have had a good selection of candidates who applied to replace our retiring superintendent, Greg Corning. The finalists are: 1. Joshua Isaacson, superintendent at the De Soto #73 School District in De Soto, Missouri. 2. Jeffery Rykal, Mondovi High School principal, Mondovi, Wisconsin. 3. Lori Whelan, superintendent at the Osseo-Fairchild School District in Osseo, Wisconsin. We invite you to participate in the process by: 1. Submitting questions for the candidates to answer. 2. Watching a recorded interview with each candidate on March 24 or 25 (until 3:00 pm on the 25th) on either the District television channel or District web site. 3. Submitting comments to the board via the survey link that will be made available on the District web site the days of the viewing. Questions for the candidates can be submitted by emailing them to Shelly Teigen at steigen@mondovi.k12.wi.us by Tuesday, March 16. Student Council Smencil & Lollipop Fundraiser The Mondovi Elementary Student Council will be selling Smencils and Lollipops to support efforts in offering special events within our school and to help those in our local community when a need arises. Smencils will be $1 each and Lollipops will be 2 for $1.00. These items will be sold the week of March 15-19 from 8:00-8:30am in students’ classrooms and the upper wing hallway.

Youth Wrestling Practice on Thurs., Feb. 25th has been cancelled. We will be back in action on Monday, March 1st at 5:30.

Dear Parents/Guardians, We have scheduled our spring Elementary Parent-Teacher Conferences for Tuesday, March 9 and Thursday, March 11. The conferences will be from 4:30-8:00 PM, and your child’s teacher should be contacting you soon (if they haven’t already) about scheduling a 20 minute appointment with them. We will be offering conferences over zoom once again this spring. Zoom allows for a live meeting between the parents and teacher. It also allows for parents to “call in” if they can’t do a live zoom meeting. When your child’s teacher contacts you, they will be asking the type of meeting you would prefer (live or by phone). If you choose phone, they will need to provide you with some additional information allowing you to be able to join at the scheduled meeting time. If you choose live, you will receive a link that you can click to join the meeting at your scheduled time. If you would like to schedule a time to meet with one of your child’s specialists teachers (Art, Music, PE, IMC, and Guidance), you can email them to set up a time. They will also be conducting their conferences over zoom and will be providing both the live and phone options as well. Mrs. Endle's Class is getting SO excited for the 100th Day of Kindergarten! Today the Kindergarten classes showed off their 100th day t-shirts!

The open enrollment regular application period begins on Monday, February 1st. You can find the link to open enrollment on our website under the parents/students tab. Parents cannot submit open enrollment applications until Monday, February 1st at the earliest and must submit them no later than 4:00pm on Friday, April 30th.
