The area on the school side of Mill Street, in front of and between both wings (entrance #29 and #32), will be marked with signs reading: “Drop Off Only.” We will refer to that as our “stop and go” area. That means that anyone that would like to pull up to the curb, drop their child off, stay in their vehicle, and continue driving should use this area.
There will be no parking in the area to the immediate east and west of our “stop and go” area. To the east, it is currently under construction. To west, it is marked with no parking signs during school hours up to the tennis courts.
There is parking on the school side of Mill Street further to the east of the construction area (along side the cafeteria), and to the west, alongside the tennis courts and beyond. We will refer to that as our “stop and stay” area. That means anyone that would like to pull up to the curb, park their car, get out and walk into the school with their child should use this area. The entire curbside area on Mill Street opposite of the school is also a “stop and stay” area.
Please pay attention to the street signs in our “stop and stay” areas as some of them are marked as 30 minute parking during school hours. Also be aware of the crosswalks in both our “stop and go” and “stop and stay” areas. It is important for student safety that you don’t block them when you park.
These parking procedures will work the same way in the evening for student pick up. If you are going to use the “stop and go” area for a student pick up, please make sure that you can see your child and that your stop is brief.
For the safety of our students, please adhere to the posted speed limit signs on Mill Street.
